3 steps to get your health and fitness on track FAST

Recently attended a training event around planning and wanted to share my biggest takeaways that absolutely apply to health and fitness success too;

1. Have a clear goal

Most of us don’t identify exactly where it is we want to get to. We have vague ideas that we’d like things to be different; perhaps lose weight or tone up a little. But never clearly articulate the difference we want to see in the long term.

Like any journey, having a vague destination doesn’t help you get there. So, for best results be as specific as possible with what you’d like to achieve. Write down how much weight you want to lose. By when? And what you’ll notice is different once you’ve lost it.

2. Identify what you’d like to achieve in the next 7 days

Once you’ve got a clear goal (perhaps where you’d like to be 3 months to a year from now) dial it right back and identify what you’d like to achieve by the end of the week.

Keeping the focus short term prevents delaying taking action – one of the most harmful factors to your success!

3. Commit to doing ONE THING today

Once you know what you’d like to achieve in the next 7 days chose one thing you know will help and commit to doing that one thing today.

Not for a month. Not for a week. Just commit to doing it today. Make that your focus.
